Today, they are the fastest growing segment of the US fiction market filling bookstores and influencing every area of the commercial arts. Even Hollywood has jumped on the bandwagon and is now making live-action movies from manga since 20th Century Fox has in production "Battle Angel Alita" being directed by James Cameron as his follow up to "Titanic." Northrop Davis, M.F.A., is a professional screenwriter and producer. A graduate of CalArts and Duke University, he presented "Battle Angel Alita" to 20th Century Fox, which acquired it for James Cameron. He's currently executive producing a remake of the Japanese hit TV how "Train Man" and "Berserk" manga (also screenwriter).
